OK. you want to get more FPS well read on.

First off get into your game and goto your Configuration section of FA.

Goto Video Modes and Options

Set your Nvidia card / device here to Open GL.

Set your Gamma up all the way.

Set your Screensize all the way up.

Set your resolution to 800x600 for now.

Goto Audio

Uncheck everything here.

Next get into multiplayer.

Goto Customize and advanced

Decals to 300

Uncheck everthing here.

Shells eject to never.

Compass to off.

Now exit the game and goto your FA folder on your HD.

find the config.cfg folder and open it up with wordpad or notepad. Uncheck open up always first.

Find the line that says

max_fps "72"

change it to 100

change the line that says

modem max_fps "72" TO 100 AS WELL.

Once that is done.

Save the changes by going up to the file button and selecting save.

Next right click on your desktop.

goto properties.

goto your settings

goto your advanced

goto your adapter tab.

make sure your refresh rate is on optimal at the resolution you play the game at.

Next goto you monitor tab and make sure you monitor is shown here as being used by windows. If not them get the monitor file from the MFGR site and load it. You need to select the file for more accurate refresh rates than letting Windoz choose it for you. Plug and play is more like plug and PRAY!!!!!!!

Next goto your Video card name TAB.

I use 40.72's from here. http://download.guru3d.com/

Goto open GL tab

Goto your default color and set it to 32 bit.

Goto Buffer and set it to page flipping if possible.

Verrtical sync to OFF.

Ansiotropic to off

make sure the disable CPU instructions is not checked under performance and compatiblity.

Now on to overclocking.

Goto the above link or here. http://download.guru3d.com/

Goto overclocking

Download Riva tuner.

Do the same to rivatuner as above.

Except.

Under tha main tab where it says Detonator XP Customize. There is a small triangle.

Click on it.

Here is the Overclocking area as well as Direct 3D and Open GL management buttons.

Over clock your card by clicking on the little video card.

Slide the slides up.

On GF 2's teh core does not do much to help FPS. Just memory.

On GF3's the core and Memory sliders do well together.

On GF4's the same holds true as the GF 3's.

Do not forget to test, apply and save the changes here.

Once you do all of this you should be on the road to more FPS.

Oh yeah. If it is still low. Then drop your resolution to 640 x 480.

..

Good luck
