Ping is 10-20 higher than before.. but the game is much smoother, i suspect its a little farther away than the other was, but is most definately a better server..


i dont think that the other server was what they said it was personally..

The new server is in San Antonio I think, and the site doesn't seem to have the same level of outbound connection than the Dallas sites we've used before... That's probably why ping is higher in general.

Even with that, this server runs several times better than our last server, and we have more instances running on it.

The only thing that would make this one better is if it would make me breakfast! :D

I find it cool, my ping stay's about the same, yet it feels somehow flawless, smooth, wish it was easier to find it when you try to join COD4 for example.

Add the server to your "Favorites". That way it is always there... :klinked:

we use the same server for all of our games (bf2, cod4, bf2142, quake wars)

I like them becuase, my ping was around 50-60 and now it's around 30-40. Outstanding :D:thumbsup:

CoD4's server STILL does not show up in the Server Browser. No better off than before, imo.

That's a problem with the COD4 browser, not the server itself. We are hoping they decide to make a fully functional browser in the next patch.

higher ping times but very smooth and stable.
had that 1 incident where all our pings shot up by a couple hundred... but lets hope that's never going to happen again.

My ping is 20-40 consistently. No problems whatsoever. But then again, I do live in Dallas ;). I guess I do have a slight edge.

i said average because without any information of this server and playing on it I can't tell the difference from any other server I may play on. But looking at what we got its great because of the multiple IP addresses

I would have to agree with most of you, ping is a bit higher BUT it is smoother. Can't complain... :D

The Armory has always had the smoothest running servers around. I didn't vote for outstanding because its now farther away. This has caused me a huge jump in ping. In COD4 it's not too bad but still frustrating, but in BF2 its around 130-140 where it used to be around 80. That's the thing that drew me to the servers in the first place, very friendly to my connection. Now this is all just personal grievance. Other than this the servers are fantastic.
