I play city maps more often but I like titan too. City maps are more fun but Titan is great for getting points (especially defending/attacking titans). If you want to rank up fast titan is the way to go, but the firefights and warfare is more extreme in city maps!

my major problem with titan mode is the games end up being so repeative, and if they arent its a major blowout. because of the way the titans silo combat then titan combat is set up, right after one teams titan goes down, the other team gets almost all the silos and catches up instantly, then its a matter of hardcore players going back down to get the titans or doing a hardcore rush while all the noobs defend or fly around in circles with helios.

also the titans themselves end up being so repeative, half the match is a new map yes, but when playing titan mode you end up playing the same area over and over and over.. the tactics just get repeated, they really need new titan designs for each map for it to be a more unique experience.

I enjoy conquest much more than titan. For me, the impossible lag and defects of titan mode are enough to make me use my game disc for target practice. But before I get the chance to do so, a good conquest round makes me feel all fuzzy inside :)

I like titan a lot more as well. Both require teamwork. But I find titan allow more options. whether it be defending the titan, attacking the enemy titan or capturing silo's.

I'm sure once i get better at the game I'll like both equally but for now its titan all the way.

I only played conquest on the first day. I didn't even understand it really. I just always got bombed from the sky (the commander strikes). All I did was stick close to people and shoot. I never really figured out what to do. I still don't know how to play it.

I think Titan is fun and is all I play. I think it is easier to understand for noobs; camp a silo and advance the missile launch progress bar or help defend the Titan. Plus for noobs, you have almost instant access to the gunships or air transports which are always fun to fly (btw vets hate it when noobs fly lol). Also using the Titan guns are almost instant access for noobs too and are fun to use. Grab the engineer kit and fix the guns. Engineer is fun for noobs. For awhile there while I was learning how to fly, I did nothing but fly the air transport, fix it with the engineer kit when I was landed at silos, and that was it and it was a blast.

Conquest for me. Too much drop in frame rate on the Titan. Oh and lately when I'm on the Titan as soon as I go inside everything goes black and I can't see where I'm going. I'll stick to Conquest for now.

I had the same problem, everything i tried didn't work. Eventually it fixed itself. :)

Try tweaking your lighting or dynamic lighting in video settings. I have to have lighting at medium to avoid the Titan full of EA BS.

Well since this is set in the year 2142 it only makes sense for the titan...besides...there more toys to play with in titan mode. Ground pounders is 1942 with new uniforms heehee:D

wow a 6 month old thread! I like the City maps the best but i like the big conquest maps as well (the ones that you can play in titan mode too)

It's usually city for me only because Titan mode kinda sucks when you jump right in the middle of it. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great reprieve from flag capturing and defending and the vehicles and play possibilities are nice. Once they figure out how to fix t he lag when the Titans move, I think it will be a lot more fun to play.
