I voted for recon because the sniper weapon is the most consistent for me. Every other weapon i've used is almost like a damn guessing game. Sometimes it is right, while most of the time it is not.

I gotta say Assult cause I use it the most. I like having my Voss L-AR and my AED-6. Recon comes in at a close second...not the sniper rifes though...I use the Lambert Carbine, demopacks, and mines.

Place the sentry gun in bushes, thus giving it 30 seconds more time to kill people before its found.

Im not a huge fan of the crosshair when you zoom in with the Ganz but its still a pretty awsome gun.

I like the assualt class because of the extremely accurate semi-auto on the Bauer-HAR, and the ability to use a shotgun,rocket launcher, or defibs. you technically have unlimited health because you're a full time medic too.

but nomatter what kit I am.... I still drop armor and knife. Hold you're Tags close.... Because soon, They'll all be mine.:p

Go to BFHQ then click on leader-board then on the top right hand side click on I believe it's called dog tags and it will load all the dog tags you got, don't be alarmed when you see your name it just shows it. :D

btw anyone working for silver and gold knife badges, you have to get 50 unique dog tags then so many knife kills in a round.....

might have to out source to other servers if you playing on the armory a lot to get it.

i was awarded the badge for knife kills but it's not in my BFHQ, i never got the pin for dog tags collected in a round either.

I was playing around with the leaderboards and I noticed the top player in knife kills in the world is from Japan with over 1000 knife kills. Next highest is an American with about 600ish.

I got a laugh when I saw the top guy was from Japan. I will strike fast, quiet, and deadly! BANZAI!
Well, to the thread at hand...

I play Assault most of the time. 2/3 of the way to my Assault Silver badge last I checked due to the sheer time played on it. I unlocked the Voss and never looked back. I'm going for the Engie Rail gun next as I do switch to engie to deal with vehicles often and I really hate that default rocket launcher. After that, I'm probably going to try and unlock the improved Engie repair and the improved ammo hub under support.

you know for as long as the game has been out it's really amazing how fast some people have moved up.I'm thinking they got to be like 18-20 years old out of school but not in college,has a job but not full time.too young to be in bars,not enough real life friends to got o house partys.something like that :)

Managed to get a hold of the Engie Rail Gun (left side weapon unlock) as a Field Upgrade the other day. Fell head over heals in love with it's sheer stopping power. It'll be my next unlock :D

I have taken to lovingly calling the Pilum AVR (Rail gun) "Big Bertha". This rifle is absolutely SWEET for taking out vehicles. And it's GREAT for long range work. You can aim, fire, then duck behind cover with absolutely no need to stay exposed to make sure the projectile impacts the target. I have taken out Walkers from outside visual range using nothing more than the red name to target by! You can't do that with the default Engie rockets....

Every game...you should always go assault because it leaves room for mid ranged, and if you have good enough graphics...it's easy to see any sniper no matter where they are. Especially in BF series...Fairly easy to spot anyone...depending on how much you're into actually trying to find them...use your bannoculars(sp?)

Support without question. Nothing like loads of points from ammo, and a nice big magazine to lay waste to half the enemy team.

My opinion has changed little over the weeks. I still like Assault and the Voss the best. Not the greatest for long range work, but most of the fighting I do is close and medium range anyway where the Voss's clip size and high rate of fire rules supreme. However, thanks to "Big Bertha" I play Engineer pretty much exclusivly on Titan servers to deal with the larger number of tanks. (and swap often on maps like Berlin) I never realised how effective the Engineer SMG's are at close range until a couple weeks ago. If an Engineer runs with a couple assault guys, he can hold his own just fine in Infantry fights.

I only play Recon for the badges. The Lambert is adaquate, but I find it lacking at long range. I severely miss my Voss when I play Recon. I'm struggling to find a Support kit I like, although the shotgun is starting to grow on me some.

I personally love assault, mainly because I can stay alive longer with it. The med-kit is a life saver IMO, especially when you can throw it down and just hold down the fort!!! Also the Baur-H is amazing! I can pick off snipers with it and even spray-and-pray fairly succesfuly if I have too! It gets me out of alot of tricky situations, and the rocket launcher add-on is great for taken out peeps from behind cover or in buggies.

Edit: I have the sniper rifle in Recon unlocked too, so I use that sometimes, but I mainly use assault. I'm workin on Engineer right now so I can take out tanks/walkers when I have too!

I just unlocked the baur yesterday and personally I didnt like it too much, I found that when I fire the gun moves too much making it inaccurate for me...but thats probably also because im not used to it yet. I still prefer the voss though with the rockets add on.

Short bursts are definitely the key to the Bauer. I find myself rolling with the Bauer the most lately. I'm somewhat surprised that more people aren't using the active camo and demo packs against armor. If I'm holding a point and a tank starts bullying infantry, I've been very successful coming back Recon, going active camo, and demo packing his hind quarters. Rekindles those old BF C4 memories. ;)

For me it depends on what role my squad is playing. If we are defending a flag, I prefer Recon. If I'm in a squad thats full bore going after flags, then I like Assault, but have found some success with Support in a squad of Assault guys. The support weapon has some decent range and I can be right there to load my guys back up with Nades when we are assaulting a flag. 1 Support and 4 Assault with and Engineer or Recon in the last position can be one tough squad. When the 4 Assault lay down Med Kits together, you get healed very quickly. I think thats how the "P" guys are able to heal and move so good together. they have that multiple healing thing down.

I'm with taco on the recon kit but using the carbine. I just love blowing things up. Before worked today I logged into an empty server and calculated safe distances from demo packs and the number needed per vehicle for total destruction! :cool:

I love the clark shotgun on lot of maps,i was a big jackhammer fan on bf2.But now,i usually take assault with the vosss-lar,wich is insane Vd the Baur,a weapon i really dont like.Imean,what is the advantage of Baur on the Voss.

I have the pilum,wich is great,with the defuser (wich should give you points when you defuse mines),and the sat-vehicles scan wich is a great idea.But the SMG they give reminds me of the MP7,wich was a ...a..lets say weak weapon.Its really frustrating to fight with the smg,altough the pilum has no splash damage against infantry.

i like assault because the Voss can muder people up close plus you've got rockets to take out far away enemies, and cars, you've got a defib to revive your teammates and a medipack to heal yourself and others. So its the perfect kit.
