The patch installed nicely, and I went and played on a couple of servers. The graphics seemed better for some reason, but the servers I played on were not that full. I will give a full review tomorrow after I have rested.
Please place you comments as you see fit. :D

I used it. Went to "news of 1.21" ea site from bf2 mini startup news window. The site does not say it's out. I'm curious where you got it from. They slow to update their site I guess. bf2 works okay with it for me. I noticed the scoped spec ops gun didn't get me kills as fast as it used to. The reg support machine gun and pkm seem to kill faster then before for me.

They always release the upddate a day prior to the acual release. I guess they do it so 1 million customers don't try to download it at once.
I got the file from www.fileplanet.com. It eas their leading story/advertisement last night. I rushed a copy up to our website to help folks get it at blazing fast speeds and not have to wait. ;)

so yea, hopefully we wont hear fully automatic gunfire going on in the background when the person actually killed the person 5 minutes ago :)

just out of curiousity, is the patch the reason why it kept telling me only people with unmodified content could play on the (=A=) server?

Yes, probably. I have submitted a work ticket to our ISP and asked them to install the new files. I will post here when the server is operational and ready for action. :D

My guess is the server communication thing fixes you not hearing some sounds and gunfire when the other person is firing at you from 5 feet away.

And why were these not found with all their testing. I think they need new beta testers. EA may not be at fault. A lot of their work is relied upon from the feedback of their testing community.
Sort of like FA. We never were allowed much beta testing. When we were. They did not listen and messed things up. We might not be the best skilled clan but we know what Gamers want.

Well It seems they still haven't fixed anything needed. Red name tag, server crashes, missles that dont go after teammate vehicles 1st. It looks like we will be playing SF alot longer.
Plus it's so much more intense.

Thank you so much as always I had a great dl speed thanx Gator :)
HOPEFULLY this will fix my problems so that I can play BF2 again. That is assuming that I can get BF2 to install with my bunged up disc 2. I'll see what I can come up with tonight... keep your fingers crossed for me.

on singleplayer I have lost a great deal of frame rate I'm wondering if anyone else notices any difference in their FPS? but no problems on multiplayer yet!

well i have no serious complaints as it worked. no serious complaints because i used to bad performance from lack of experience. fps stayed same atleast. i may be wrong but it seemed i noticed spec ops scope gun has less kill and assault mg has more kill. atleast it works. would be nice to not have to worry about that name tag bug, which greatly reduces "my" resources and game attention for fear of killing team mate. :peace:

I uploaded the "Full Client" patch last night for those doing a new install, so be sure to download the big patch (378 MB) and not the incremental if this is your situation. :D

"Fixed the issue where the heat seeking missles stuck to the oil towers."
Wait..wasnt that the point in the 1st place? To be able to fly past one of those towers and lose the missle?

Right, but if you shot a missle at one of the towers the missle would fly around in the fire for awhile, it was kind of cool to watch.
